Jamie’s been working hard cleaning out the guestroom so we can move Rachel in there. The guestroom has been the catch-all for all of our old stuff that didn’t really fit anyplace else. We want this room to be all Rachel’s and not make her co-exist with our old junk!

We should be able to move Rachel to the new room in a few weeks. We got new comforter for Rachel’s “big girl” bed (lady bugs) and we’re looking at paint chips… The room is currently brown, but I think we’re going to paint it a light green to go with the background of the comforter. Jamie tells me it’s popular to paint one wall a darker color than the others… I’m not so sure about all of that, but I don’t have much artistic sense, so I’ll leave those types of decisions to her!

I’ll be sure to post before/after pictures of the room when we’re finished.

Since we’re having a boy, I’ll have to paint two bedrooms instead of one… the nursery is a lovely lavendar, which was perfect when we brought our baby girl home from the hospital 2 1/2 years ago, but I can’t bring my son home to a purple room!
